Privacy notice

This site is run by Phil Ginakis, trading as Ginakis Advisory, in Brisbane, Australia (“we”). This notice explains what the site collects and who handles it. Email phil@ginakis.com with any question, or to see, correct or delete anything you've sent us.

Last updated 24 October 2026.

What we collect

If you use the contact form: your name, email address and message. If you book a conversation: your name, email address and an optional note, and Microsoft emails you a code to confirm your address. If you email us: your email address and what you write. If you use Blobby, our chat assistant: what you type. If you allow analytics: which pages you view, whether you scroll to the bottom of a page, how long you spend on pages, where you came from, your device and browser type, your language and screen size, your approximate location (town or city), and when you click an email link or the booking button, send the contact form or use Blobby, including which of its suggested questions you tap. Never your name, your email address or what you type.

How we use it

We use what you send through the form, by email or through a booking to reply, to keep a record of our dealings, and to connect with you to see whether we're a fit to provide services to you. We store only what we need to provide a better service, in our business tools, for as long as we need it. We delete it if you ask, unless we have to keep it for legal, tax or accounting reasons. We use analytics only to see how the site is used.

Who else handles it

Formspree receives contact-form messages and technical details such as your IP address, keeps a copy, and emails the message to us. Microsoft runs the booking page, which sits in our own Microsoft account, so bookings arrive in our calendar and email. Microsoft's and Formspree's own privacy statements also apply to their pages. Netlify hosts the site and records technical details such as your IP address in its logs. OpenAI writes Blobby's replies: the site sends it your message and the earlier messages in the conversation, nothing else about you. We can't see the conversation and this site does not store it. OpenAI may keep messages, usually for up to 30 days, to check for misuse, and says it doesn't use them to train its models. Please keep personal and confidential information out of the chat. Google runs analytics, but only if you allow it. Formspree, Netlify, Microsoft, OpenAI, Google and the providers of our other business tools may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States.

Cookies and analytics

Analytics is off until you allow it. Once you do, Google sets cookies to tell visitors apart; they last up to two years after your last visit, or until you turn analytics off. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off in our account. Google keeps visit-by-visit data for 14 months, after which only summary reports remain. Your choice is saved in this browser, and you can change it here at any time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics stays off and no choice is offered.
